About Me

Hi, I’m Arthur Gordon. You might remember me from such podcasts as Back to the Movies, The Cast Who Knew Too Much, and The People’s History of Film.

I am a podcaster, assistant professor, film critic, and creative working at the intersection of communication, storytelling, and culture. In the classroom, I teach Language Arts, Film Studies, and Literature, where I aim to help students think critically, communicate confidently, and engage meaningfully with the stories that shape our world.

Beyond teaching, I explore film and media through podcasting and criticism, bringing a thoughtful but approachable voice to conversations about movies, creativity, and cultural moments. Whether in the studio or the classroom, I’m driven by a passion for connecting ideas, fostering curiosity, and encouraging others to see the world through a more reflective lens.

I reside in Oklahoma with my amazing wife and one certified good boy who believes he’s the real star of the show. In my spare time, I enjoy board games and reading.
